New Delhi, July 23, 2026 (Doon Horizon).

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has scheduled nationwide peaceful protests for Friday, July 24, escalating its demand for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s immediate removal over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak. CJP Founding President Abhijeet Dipke issued a direct ultimatum Thursday to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The party released a digital poster on X urging student unions and allied organizations to coordinate logistics and secure local permissions for the Friday demonstrations.

Dipke stated the agitation will rapidly expand past the education ministry if the government ignores the students. “Modi ji, I once again request you to accept Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Otherwise, the issue will not remain limited to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation alone; it will come for your resignation also,” Dipke said. Lakhs of medical aspirants nationwide remain affected by the NEET-UG 2026 examination irregularities.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh told the press Thursday the central government is ready for dialogue. Singh claimed the administration has approached CJP representatives four times to initiate talks. He proposed holding the discussions at Union Health Minister JP Nadda’s office or official residence in the capital.

“Wherever you want we can discuss, either at Nadda Ji’s house or office. Union Health Minister JP Nadda and I will be present for discussions,” Singh said. He told reporters the administration wants to progress toward a solution through dialogue. “We do not stand on prestige,” he added.

CJP leaders immediately refused the venue parameters. Party spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka confirmed the group rejected the proposal to meet at Nadda’s property. Ranka said the CJP suggested holding the dialogue at Jantar Mantar—a neutral location—but the central government did not accept the counter-proposal.

The ongoing agitation drew questions at international press briefings Thursday. Pakistan’s foreign ministry was asked if the Indian administration’s police response to the CJP protestors amounted to human rights violations. Foreign affairs spokesperson Tahir Andrabi dismissed the queries entirely. “This is an internal matter of India. We do not offer comments on such matters,” Andrabi stated.
