Lucknow, July 18, 2026 (Doon Horizon). 47 districts across Uttar Pradesh recorded swift medical pre-authorizations totaling Rs 37.81 lakh for 142 government teachers and their direct dependents seeking immediate hospital admissions. The rapid financial clearances materialized merely ten days after Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formally inaugurated the Mukhyamantri Shikshak Suraksha Cashless Chikitsa Yojana on July 8, 2026.
Varanasi leads the state’s expenditure chart with medical clearances hitting approximately Rs 3.19 lakh for critical interventions. Gorakhpur trailed with Rs 2.39 lakh in approvals, closely followed by Prayagraj at Rs 2.21 lakh and Fatehpur registering Rs 2.02 lakh. Badaun recorded Rs 1.61 lakh in health sector spending.
Jalaun and Hardoi accounted for Rs 1.55 lakh and Rs 1.45 lakh respectively under the state government’s financial coverage umbrella. Case volumes paint a slightly different geographic picture across the state grid. Gorakhpur registered the absolute highest number of individual medical requests with 12 separate cases.
Prayagraj hospitals processed seven patient claims from the education sector. Health facilities in Jaunpur, Moradabad, and Varanasi booked exactly six cases each. Five claims surfaced from each of the districts covering Bulandshahr, Deoria, and Ayodhya.
Agra, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Bijnor, Kaushambi, Mau, and Pilibhit uniformly reported four approved medical interventions per district. The bureaucratic division of these health claims shows a massive tilt toward the primary schooling sector. SACHIJ Chief Executive Officer Archana Verma confirmed the exact departmental split during a morning briefing.
The Basic Education Department generated 128 of the 142 approved files, commanding an estimated treatment pool of Rs 34.15 lakh for its staff. Secondary Education Department personnel filed the remaining 14 health applications. Their collective medical estimates triggered approvals worth Rs 3.66 lakh.
Hospital diagnostic codes reveal General Medicine as the dominant requirement with 52 active patient files currently under management. General Surgery departments prepared for 28 incoming procedures. Orthopedic specialists received 15 surgical authorizations.
Urology clinics accepted nine patients from the educator pool. Medical Oncology wards and Neonatal Care units processed eight and six specialized cases respectively. Obstetrics and Gynecology matched Ophthalmology with six approved procedures each.
Cardiology departments scheduled four specific interventions under the government initiative. Several other unspecified medical disciplines also received scattered authorizations to admit teachers and their family members over the past week.
