Weather Forecast : Cyclone ‘Dana’ seems to be weakening after hitting the coast of Odisha. However, rain continues to wreak havoc in some parts of the country due to cyclone ‘Dana’.

In eastern India, Cyclone Dana caused torrential rains in the coastal districts of West Bengal.

Kolkata and other districts of South Bengal have received continuous rain since late Thursday night.

Meanwhile, due to the effect of Cyclone Dana in Jharkhand, some districts received light to moderate rains.

Heavy rain forecast in Kerala

According to the Meteorological Department, an “orange alert” has also been issued for many districts of Kerala.

Hefty rains are expected in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts till October 27.

Moderate rains accompanied by lightning and strong winds may also affect other parts of the state.

The IMD has advised caution in the affected areas, urging residents to stay updated on weather alerts as the state prepares for further developments related to the residual effects of Cyclone Dana.

The IMD has predicted heavy rains in Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad and Malappuram.

Heavy rains and lightning can also be seen in many places in the Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.
