  • 1 tsp, oil
  • salt – as per taste

An easy method to make Rajasthani Chana Dal

First, make Rajasthani Chana Dal, take chana dal, clean it, and soak it in water for half an hour.

After the stipulated time, put the soaked dal in a pressure cooker, add water as per requirement, mix turmeric, salt and asafoetida, and close the lid.

The dal will have to be cooked in the oven till two whistles. Now, after two whistles, turn off the gas. Then, take a pan, put oil in it, and heat it on medium flame.

Add cumin seeds and let them crackle when the oil gets hot. Before this, take curd in a bowl and whisk it well.

Then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt to the curd and mix everything well.

Now, put the curd paste in a pan and cook for some time. Remember to cook on low flame so that the curd does not split.

After this, please take out the boiled gram lentils from the cooker and add them to it. Then mix water as per requirement.

Then cover the pan and let the lentils cook for 5-10 minutes. Keep stirring the lentils with the help of a spoon in between so that they do not stick to the bottom.

Turn off the gas after the lentils are cooked. Finally, take kasuri methi, mash it with your palms, and add it to the gram lentils.

Here, hot lentils are ready. Serve and enjoy the taste with rice or lentils.
