The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will get unrestrained gas cylinders on Diwali. A notification has also been issued at the District Supply Office regarding this.
However, unrestrained cylinders will not be given to those consumers who have not yet done e-KYC.
Last year, on Diwali, the Yogi government also gave the gift of unrestrained cylinders to the eligible.
If you want the benefit of this scheme, then get the KYC of your LPG cylinder connection done as soon as possible.
The government has announced that it will give unrestrained cylinders to all Ujjwala gas beneficiaries before Diwali.
Under this, the beneficiaries will have to buy gas cylinders by paying money themselves first.
After this, the money for the gas cylinder will be sent to their bank accounts through DBT.
However, the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana who have not done KYC will be deprived of this benefit.
With Diwali approaching, the department believes barely ten more beneficiaries can come forward for KYC.
According to the department, the KYC for about one lakh people is still incomplete.
Right now, 63 per cent of people have got e-KYC done. Out of the total 2.82 lakh Ujjwala gas beneficiaries in Gorakhpur district, only 63 have got e-KYC done. T

According to the information, the government has decided to get two gas cylinders refilled for the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana.
In the first phase, unrestrained cylinders will be given from October to December, while in the second phase, they will be available between January to March.
How to apply online?
- Go to the official website (www.pmuy.gov.in).
- Click the ‘Apply for PMUY Connection’ option on the home page.
- A dialogue box will open in front of you, giving links to various gas companies.
- Click on the gas company from which you want to get the cylinder.
- On the open page, enter your name, distributor’s name, mobile number, address, pin code, etc.
- Now click on the Apply button. Your application will be submitted.
