UP Board 12th Result 2026 : The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has finalized the roadmap for the Class 12 result declaration, with answer sheet evaluation scheduled to begin tomorrow, March 18.

This massive academic exercise follows the successful completion of the Intermediate examinations on March 12, which saw over 24.79 lakh students appearing across 8,033 centers.

The Board has deployed a workforce of approximately 1.53 lakh examiners to handle the evaluation of nearly 3 crore answer sheets.

To ensure absolute transparency, all 250 evaluation centers are equipped with CCTV cameras linked to a state-level control room for real-time webcasting.

New Features in 2026 Results

In a significant departure from tradition, the UP Board will introduce professional A4-sized marksheets this year. These new documents will resemble degree certificates and include advanced security features such as clearer student photographs and integrated QR codes for easier verification by universities and employers.

Furthermore, examiners have been instructed to follow a lenient “step-marking” system. Under this directive, students will receive credit for correct steps in numerical-heavy subjects like Physics and Mathematics, even if the final answer is incorrect.

Passing Criteria and Statistics

To secure a pass, students must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. Official data indicates that 24,79,352 students registered for the Class 12 exams this year, a decrease of over 2 lakh compared to the previous session.

The board is also expected to offer a revised improvement exam policy, allowing Class 12 students to retake a subject to boost their scores, a facility previously reserved primarily for Class 10.

Once the evaluation concludes on March 31, the board will proceed with data entry and topper verification before the final announcement in late April.
